Blog - By Gary Wilkie
I'll just start off by explaining why I (and a lot of people) have a 'Blog'. In the wonderful world wide web if your website contains lots of text (like that which is found on 'Blogs') this makes a website more 'search engine friendly' . So, in other words if you are looking for a needle in a haystack , it helps push (having lots of text) your needle nearer the top of the haystack. As well as that I would just like to point out that by me having a 'Blog' doesn't mean I think anyone out there is remotely interested in what I have to say. I am not on any kind of 'ego' trip, I don't really need anybody to follow me on 'Twitter' or be my imaginary friend on 'facebook'. I just like to have a bit of a rant (even if it is just to myself!) every now and then. And, if we have some common ground then great!

02 tell me no more paper bills, I can view my bill online...in theory! I have just nearly lost the will to live trying to log in to view following their 'instructions' !! Interesting documentary on BBC2 last night 'Virtual Revolution' about how wonderful the internet is...obviously the producers haven't tried to view their mobile bill online yet!

Been a tough first month back since start of the year to be honest. It was on the news yesterday that we have come out of recession (by 0.1%) whoo hoo! 02 shop in The Bridges phoned me today and told me they want £142 from me for my nakkered iPhone - as it is an 'out of warranty' repair. Happy, happy joy joy.

Trip through to Newcastle today. Went to meet Graeme at Think M , the marketing agency. Mary was there also from Sunderland Software City. We discussed how best to market my 'PayperPal' idea. To be honest I am getting a bit dissolusioned with this project. It's been a lot of hard work for no return. The Software Ventures course opened my eyes to just how much finance is needed to get something like this off the ground. Be curious to see what Think M come back with though.

Re-arranged meeting with Mark Taylor up at Sunderland Software City regarding my 'PayperPal' idea and discussed how best to take things forward. Met Mary Garside who has just started at SSC. Mary is from San Francisco. She told me people often ask her why she moved from California to the North East of England!
