Sunday 4.02pm .... 21st June 2009
A point I have just picked upon reading thru the forums on the website hosting company (there are a lot of people affected by this server crash) is that people are being asked to look at the date of any email sent - so if it looks like you have not receieved mail on 17th / 18th - it may have been queued and come thru on 19th -- check sent date to put your mind at rest -- you should not have lost any email. It will have been queued and delivered later.
Sunday 3.58pm .... 21st June 2009
Of the final two sites that were still down - one is back up - only one to go !!
Saturday 2.04pm .... 20th June 2009
After a brief scare (sites back down again - aaargh - only half hour or so) - back up again! (my nerves can't take this) Obviously teething problems with moving everything over to another server which increased load on that server - but back up again now -- refresh your cache in your browser if you are still having problems. -

Just to re-iterate the hosting company we use have had a major problem with one of their severs in Rapid Switch's data centre in Maidenhead in Berkshire. This has affected 37 of our clients websites. Because of the high security of the data centre (they wont even let Dell engineers in without showing their passports) The guys from the hosting company have had to drive down thru the night from Motherwell (nr Galsgow) to the data centre to restore the sites (thousands in total affected) to another sever.
We will be posting another update at around 3.30pm
With another at 5pm tonight
Friday 1.33.... 19th June 2009
Eighteen back up at this point - some of those that are still down are able to recieve email. Ring if anything urgent.
Friday 1.30.... 19th June 2009

Friday 12.45.... 19th June 2009
Currently checking thru sites making a list of those still not back up and if not back up in the hour will contact Colin and Drew with list.
Friday 12 noon.... 19th June 2009
One of our servers at a data centre we use in Maidenhead , Berkshire experienced ' a catastrophic failure of an embeded network card' on Wednesday morning.
This resulted in many of our website customers websites and emails being down from Wednesday 11.07 till today (Friday 19th June).
We and our hosting partners have been working around the clock to rectify the problem.
Two engineers Colin and Drew are currently backing up sites to a back up server at this present time.
We thank you for your patience in this matter.
Some customers will find their sites are back up now.
Others will be back up as the day progresses.
Any emails that were sent during the downtime will be queued and will be delivered once your site is back live again.
In certain cases if you require access to urgent emails we may be able to access them on your behalf.
